MORECAMBE have snubbed a bid from League Two side Rochdale for striker Wayne Curtis.
The 24-year-old has impressed for the Shrimps since he joined the club from Holker Old Boys as a 17-year-old, scoring eight times this season despite operating on the right hand side.
And his record is something else with 46 goals in 110 games for Morecambe.
But he turns 25 in March, meaning Shrimps' boss Jim Harvey can ask a fee for his striker if he wants to cash in.
"I'm disappointed our bid has been turned down because I felt it was a good offer for a player that is out of contract in the summer," says Rochdale manager Steve Parkin.
"Wayne would be a good acquisition for the club but our bid has been turned down."
Curtis joined Morecambe towards the end of the 1997/1998 season, scoring on his debut away at Dover.
