SENTENCING of a Morecambe man facing a life term for raping a teenage girl at a secluded spot has again been put back.
The case of Andrew Price (pictured) has been adjourned until February 17 because a psychiatric report on the defendant is still not available.
The 21-year-old scrap metal worker, of White Lund Road, was convicted last October of raping the girl on White Lund.
Price was said to have produced a knife and threatened to kill the girl if she screamed. But in his evidence the defendant claimed she had consented to sex.
The offence occurred less than three months following Price's release from a four-year youth custody term passed for raping a woman.
Judge Edward Slinger further remanded Price in custody following the hearing on Monday at Preston Crown Court.
