AN 86-year-old woman was duped out of more than £100 by a bogus workman who conned his way into her home.
The man went to the house at The Rise, Bolton-le-Sands, claiming to be fixing a boundary wall for the woman's neighbour and needing access to the garden.
He then asked if the woman had change for £20 and so she looked in a money box for him and left the room.
When she returned, the man - aged between 30 and 40, five-feet-eight-inches tall and of medium build with brown, wavy hair - had vanished with £109 and her pension book.
