A NEW Year and a new brochure Lancaster City Council wants to see visitors flocking to the district in 2005.
It has just published a new holiday guide aiming to give holidaymakers and day-trippers a comprehensive look of what to do and where to stay.
From the internationally famous Eric Morecambe statue, to the historic and vibrant city of Lancaster and serene beauty of the Lune Valley, the guide covers everything that is good about the area.
The city council's senior tour-ism officer Suzi Williams says: "The holiday guide is a hugely important tool in marketing the area to people outside the district and indeed outside the country.
"Literally thousands of visitors are expected to come to the area as a result of picking up this guide."
Anyone wishing to collect a copy of the new holiday guide to the district will find it at local Tourist Information Centres.
