MORECAMBE'S Festival Market is about to get a new manager and she can't wait to get her teeth stuck into the new job.
Tracey Bruce, pictured, is making the move from supervisor at Lancaster Market after 20 years with the city council.
She joined the council in 1984 on a youth training placement straight from school and her big break came three months later when the old market went up in flames.
She was sent to help out and has never left the markets since.
Says Tracey: "I'm really looking forward to working to continue the success of the market. It is running along nicely but I have plans and hope to expand in future.
"When I started working at the market when I was 16 I never thought I would ever be running it, it just shows what you can do if you stick with it."
