VALE of Lune aim to get back to winning ways and lift themselves away from trouble at the foot of Powergen North One when they entertain Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Lune go into the Powder House Lane clash third from bottom of the table and must win against a side just ahead of them.
The teams have just four points each with Boro ahead of the locals on points difference alone. But Vale won 21-17 at Acklam Park on November 13.
That was Vale's last win, with the last five games seeing them lose to slip towards trouble, although they remain confident they can get out of it. But they face a crucial month with a trip to Hull Ionians and a game with Chester following on from Saturday's clash.
