A fundraising reading event will be held at The Bluebell Bookshop, Penrith in aid of the Tsunami Disaster.
The date is Thursday 27th January, The Bluebell Bookshop, Angel Square, Penrigh, 7.30-9.30. All donations to the Disasters Emergency Committee Tsunami Relief Fund. Admission is free.
Poets from all over Cumbria will be reading for free, including Josephine Dickinson, Jennifer Copley, Maggie Norton, Wild Women Poets, Mungrisdale Writers and Geraldine Green. 'Pledged' poems have been received from poets/poetry editors, Jim Bennett, John G Hall and George Wallace.
George Wallace, Editor of the online Poetry Magazine, Poetry Bay, has pledged a poem; John G Hall, Editor of Citizen32, has also pledged a poem, which will be read out on the night.
Donations received will be sent to help people caught up in this tragedy. Support the reading in any way you are able, come and read a poem/s, be part of the audience, let other people know about it!Geraldine Green
