ALSTON based Glasstap Limited and the Trainers' Library are this year's sponsor of Alston under 12s football team.
The Internet-based training provider run by owners Rod Webb and Craig Worcester each year builds a strategy for their business around 5 key passions': Customer Focus, Innovation, Team Spirit, Financial Strength and Social Responsibility. And, under the latter, they have given more than £1,200 to good causes in the last two years, including money to Book Aid and the local children's football club. Here the team are pictured in their new strip for this season.
Rod explained the growing appeal of the Internet-based training provision. He said: "Membership of Trainers' Library benefits anyone involved in developing new training material, from self-employed training consultants to training teams in major corporate businesses. In fact, Trainers' Library is so popular that we have members in ten countries. And members like the service we provide."
The benefits to members include unlimited access to training modules, consisting of detailed trainers' notes and participant handouts on a whole range of business-related topics.
Co-owner of the business Craig added: "Members have unlimited access to team-building games."
With international businesses around the world looking to Alston for training support, Rod and Craig hope the creation of four new positions, which they hope to recruit from the local community, will help expand the business further and benefit the Cumbrian economy.
