"TWO good results this week and we are enjoying ourselves and I am also picking up good reaction from the terraces. Now we want all spectators to bring a friend down as we need to boost the crowd. Although that may already be happening as there were more down on Tuesday night. Usually you only get about 70 for a League Cup match in mid week "After all you would have to go a long way to see the level of skill we are now producing. Ashcroft's goal was magnificent in the way he controlled the long pass to produce an instant shot. He is also delivering his own long passes well.

"Foster's goal from a left-foot volley was also spectacular.

"It is a pity the result against Telford didn't push us further up the league, as those around us also picked up points, but it has put us much closer and a couple more wins would put us up in the top places.

"On the other hand the league is so tight that a couple of defeats would send us down towards the relegation zone.

"Despite out ability to pile in goals I would settle for 1-0 victories, particularly on Saturday when we go to Stocksbridge Park Steels. They are a good side.

"We beat them 3-2 on the opening day of the season. We led 3-0 at half-time, but they came back and probably deserved a point.

"Peter Smith took his family away for the half-term holiday so was unavailable on Tuesday, but he will be straight back in on the right wing against Stocksbridge. He is enjoying a purple patch in his career and gives us so much width.

"Dene Whittal-Williams has had a bad reaction to a knock on the knee and is seeing the physio, but he only has a 50-50 chance of playing.

"Young Chris Bennett's season is going from bad-to-worse. He only came on for 10 minutes but has cracked a bone in his foot, the same injury from which he has just recovered, and will be out for another four to six weeks. Apart from that everyone is fit and enjoying it, with those on the bench pushing for starting places and others in the squad raring to even get on the subs bench."
