A LOCAL artist is to launch four new limited edition prints to raise funds for CancerCare.
The four pictures are modern impressions of Lancaster scenes and a donation from each sale will go straight to the city based charity.
The fund-raiser comes after Patricia Haskey Knowles's brother was given the all-clear following treatment for cancer.
Heysham-based Patricia says: "Arthur was finally given the good news in June. I wanted to celebrate and thank everyone who helped Arthur and the family through this difficult time.
"For some time now I've been thinking of how I could raise funds to boost the support CancerCare offers to people free of charge."
Patricia's work has been exhibited all over Lancashire, as well as impressing art collectors in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Sweden.
She has worked on several murals in the area such as the children's casualty room at the Lancaster Royal Infirmary and he has been commissioned to work on the Morecambe regeneration project She says she has really enjoyed working on the new pictures of Lancaster.
"My fascination is with light and the way it dissolves or sharpens details. The way light falls can make you see familiar scenes in a new way as it alters any colour it touches."
Patricia will be at the Town House Gallery, Market Street, Lancaster on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm to launch the charity fund-raiser. Entry is free.
