GRIMSBY Town had Harry the Haddock', Manchester City had giant bananas now the club who play at the Giant Axe havea giant axe.
Lancaster City have put the fun back into football by bringing out inflatable axes for their fans to wield at matches!
The inflatable axes are the brainchild of the club's Cara Dennison, who is working part-time for City while studying management at the University.
"A few students up at the uni suggested we should do something different," says Cara. "We came up with this idea of giant axes at the Giant Axe - and they have been a great success so far."
The axes are available from the club at £1 each.
Cara is pictured with Lancaster City's commercial manager Les Taylor - both wielding the new must have' toy for every Dolly Blue fan's Christmas list.
