ALMOST one in three drivers in Lancashire hold an inaccurate driving licence, accoprding to new figures from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
It says that up to 30 per cent of drivers in the area are risking a £1,000 fine by failing to keep driving licence and vehicle registration documents up to date when their details change.
Chf Insp Tracie O'Gara, head of road policing for Lancashire, says: "The information can be used by the police and other organisations in many different ways.
"For example, it can trace keepers of vehicles involved in car crime more quickly, or even contact relatives when the vehicle has been involved in a collision."
