POLICE are hunting a serial flasher who has been targeting lone women walking in wooded areas of Windermere.

Officers are investigating three incidents in the past month and anyone who can help track the flasher down is being urged to come forward.

On Tuesday, between 2.20pm and 2.30pm, a woman walking her dogs in the woods off Birthwaite Road spotted the man dressed in a grey top and trousers, acting suspiciously.

After briefly looking away, she saw the man had completely stripped and was carrying his clothes in his arms.

The man - described as 6ft tall, aged in his early 20s with a medium build and short dark hair had moved closer to the woman but said nothing before walking away.

A Cumbrian Police spokesman said the incident echoed another indecent exposure that took place in the same woods at 2.45pm on Friday, September 24.

A man matching the same description was spotted naked and carrying his clothes in his arms by another lone female walker.

And in another almost identical incident, a man fitting the same description was seen by a woman walking in the woods near Miller Ground, off Rayrigg Road, at around 3pm on September 15.

Anyone with information, or who may have been subjected to a similar ordeal in the area but not reported it, is asked to call Kendal police on 01539-722611 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
