ON THE ROPES... that's Cockerham first responder Frances Unsworth, pictured, as she takes the plunge over the edge of the 100-foot tall Ashton Memorial.
She was one of 50 brave souls who took the difficult way down the folly to try to raise funds for the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue team and First Responders.
They were aiming to at least match the £5,000 raised at a similar event last year.
Spokesman Andy Binstead says: "It was a fantastic day for everyone. At this moment we are still counting the money but every penny helps our organisation."
