GET down, get dirty get to the Nuffield...
Lancaster University's Nuffield Theatre is staging a dirty weekend of dirty:theatre with one particularly dirty night next Saturday (October 23).
The packed night starts with a special video installation in the theatre foyer before the audience goes on to a theatre performance of Living Proof' at 8pm and wraps up the evening with live music from post-rock group The Munroe Transfer.
It all comes courtesy of dirty:theatre, an ensemble of artists from disciplines inc-luding performance, film, new media and music who come together to create collaborative art projects.
Living Proof combines perfor-mance, video and sound to explore the things we do to humanise the towns and cities we live in, those we visit and those we only dream of.
Three people arrive in a city. They don't know their way around. They don't even speak the language and they are just too late to see the last person leave. With nothing else to do, they start to trace past journeys made in other cities, to replay events from childhood, to find routines. Convinced there must be people out there, they lay traps, leave messages, gather evidence and lie in wait...
It features stunning images by filmmakers Kathy Hinde and Owen Bryant, live music by Nick Gill and is performed by Gangani Niyadurupola, Simon Day and Mike Tweddle, with direction by Matt Fenton.
Tickets are from the Nuffield priced £8 (£5 concessions).
