STRICKLANDGATE House, Kendal's centre for voluntary and charitable organisations, is throwing open its doors to the public on Thursday.
The open day is designed to give people an insight into what goes on at the house and increase exposure for the 21 tenant organisations and charities.
Stricklandgate House has gone from strength to strength since it opened in 1993 and it now attracts an average of 12,000 visitors a year.
Brenda Sykes director of the South Lakeland Carers Association hopes that the open day "will let people in Kendal know where we are and what we do. Even if they don't need us now they might in the future."
Stricklandgate House will be open on Thursday, October 14 from 11am-7pm.
