Heavy rain brought autumnal flooding which disrupted drivers on South Lakeland's roads on Monday morning.
Twenty-six millimetres of rain fell between 6pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday, after a hailstorm and lightning over Kendal on Saturday.
Flooding was reported between Milnthorpe and Crooklands, on the A590 at Lindal and Backbarrow and on North Lonsdale Road, in Ulverston.
A Peugeot 306 and a Hyundai Pony collided on Prince's Way, in Milnthorpe, and two vehicles collided in standing water on the A592 near Newby Bridge. No one was injured in either incident.
In Kendal, a tree was toppled by the weather and partly blocked the A684 at Rusland Park for over three hours, delaying drivers coming into Kendal from the Sedbergh direction from 5.50am on Monday.
Meteorological Office press officer Dominic Woollatt said more rain was on the way: "It's autumn. The summer's left behind, now."
More rain and gale force winds are expected.
