BELIEVE me, equally impressive as the 5-0 scoreline against Clitheroe on Tuesday evening was us keeping 11 men on the field for the second game in succession!

Once we get the discipline right we are certainly going to win more games than we will lose.

The four sendings-off involved our new players who were keen to impress and strayed over the realms of what is acceptable but they can now put it behind them.

Our attacking football on Tuesday was nothing but first-class and we produced clinical finishing after well-constructed build-up play that was very hard to defend against.

Pace and class told with Foster starting and finishing the performance with his goals. It worked a treat up front with Mayers used as a target-man.

Overall, we've got a healthy squad now and there will be four or five players trying their best to get into the team in coming week.

Given the display against Brigg Town on Saturday, it was disappointing not to take all three points, but again there was plenty to like about us.

There are lots of positives to draw from our two matches this week, but we've got to be a run of good results together now and maintain that momentum to keep in touch with the leaders.

Ashcroft and Mercer are both out of Saturday's game at Kidsgrove Athletic with match bans, but we have flexibility in midfield with Jack and McKenna able to do a job there.

We want to show the home fans what we can do against Woodley Sports this Tuesday.
