One of the world's most famous beer festivals is coming to Kendal, or at least an imitation of it.
The Miles Thompson, on Allhallows Lane, is to host its own version of the Munich Oktoberfest from Monday, October 4, to Sunday, October 17.
Fifteen foreign and award-winning beers will be available including: St Georgen Brau Keller Bier from Germany, Herold Schwarz Bier from the Czech Republic, Budels Parel from Holland, and Kelham Island Pale Rider, champion beer of Britain 2004.
