MEMBERS of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist a nine-year-old girl who sustained an injury while walking on Loughrigg.
The girl, from Ormskirk, part of walking group from Rydal Hall, Ambleside, slipped and fell in the Fox Ghyll area of the mountain, sustaining a suspected broken arm.
She was treated on the fell by the team who then stretchered her down to a waiting vehicle.
She was then taken by ambulance to Royal Lancaster Infirmary for further treatment.
