A NEW bus service will help visitors travel to the RSPB nature reserve at Leighton Moss, near Carnforth, this autumn.
The Limestone Line is an initiative to encourage people to visit the reserve and the surrounding area, without their car.
Operated by Lancashire County Council under the Carnforth Connect project, the bus will run from Lancaster University, through the city and numerous other stops to Leighton Moss and will also visit the rest of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) every Sunday, starting this weekend, to November 21.
The other stops include Arnside Knott, Eaves Wood and Gait Barrows. After November 21 the bus will continue to stop at Leighton Moss before taking shoppers on to Kendal (the Santa Special Service).
For more details about the timetable, contact Carnforth Connect Office on o1524-734311 or Iris Rose, RSPB Visitor Officer on 01524-701601.
