Word Market's third annual Word Party, Thursday 21st October 7.30pm Lanternhouse in Ulverston, will be a fundraiser and will feature winners of the E Short Story and Poetry competition.
The event, geared to writers and readers, features presentations and entertainment while raising funds for Word Market events and programmes.
The evening will feature special guests John Murray, South Cumbria Poet Laureate 2004 Lucy Crispin, winners of the E-short story and poetry competition, Word Bingo, and a raffle (top prize £100 book voucher).
Comedienne and performance poet Ann Wilson will MC the event.
Word Market, which has just developed a new three-year programme, is fundraising to support its activities and training for individual writers, writing and reading groups and community organisations in South Cumbria. Key projects include Song Furness, Pub Scripts, Poem and Pint, and the Word Market Festival in February.
