AROUND 40 new jobs are to be created at Kendal supermarket Morrisons.

Bosses say buoyant business following a major refurbishment at the Queen Katherine's Avenue store has created the need for extra staff.

General manager at the Kendal supermarket Mike Parkinson said: "The store is trading very well and the refurbishment has played its part in helping to attract many new customers. We're generating lots of extra business at the store." The recent revamp has seen the store expand its homeware range and introduce an audio section.
