RUGBY mad youngsters in the Lancaster area can take lessons from the top of the sport.
A new link-up between Tetley's Superleague club St Helens and locals at Heysham High School will see children in years eight and nine being coached by local rugby hero Mark Edmonson on a regular basis.
Amateur rugby league clubs Heysham Atoms and Lancaster are also in on the action which will see St Helens star Edmonson taking charge of mini rugby sessions at the school every Thursday from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Heysham's Rob Shaw says: "This provides an exciting oppor-tunity not only to meet a local sports star, but to also pick up tips as Mark returns to his roots."
The coaching sessions are open to pupils at all local schools. Anyone interested simply needs to turn up at Heysham High School PE block on Thursdays at 4pm.
