Stick with it was the message to the farming community at this year's Westmorland County Show.
Addressing the sun-soaked crowds, Chairman of the Westmorland County Show John Park said he was proud of a show which had stayed true to its roots.
"We have been blessed with a glorious day and a wonderful crowd of people," he said. "We think we have an exceptional show in that it is still an agricultural show.
"Agriculture has been going through and continues to go through considerable changes driven by economic conditions and it looks like continuing for the forseeable future. We have a wealth of committed agriculturalists in this area and I hope they stick with the job."
A heady mix of sun, stalls and stock drew crowds from across the country with society treasurer Christine Knipe predicting that visitor numbers were poised to beat the record of 25,000 set in 2002.
