PRE-TAX profits rose by ten per cent for Furness-based marine services provider James Fisher during the first half of the year.
The firm made pre-tax profits of £6.6 million and marine support services now account for 46 per cent of profits, making it the company's largest division.
Chairman Tim Harris said the firm had made good progress in transforming the business from a ship owner to a marine services business, and was well placed to continue growing profits.
