WALNEY coastguard was called out on Friday after two Cumbrian cocklers looked in danger of being cut off by the tides near Aldingham.
The pair, who were local men, were helped to safety by fellow cocklers before the tide trapped them offshore at about 12.45pm.
Assistance from the coastguard was not needed.
