IF YOU are still undecided about going to college or sixth form after your GCSE results, the knowledge that cash is available to help you continue your studies might swing the balance.
The education maintenance allowance (EMA) could give you up to £30 a week if you were 16 years old on September 1.
In Lancashire, money is also available to help mature students, with an Adult Learning Grant pilot scheme offering up to £30 a week to eligible adults returning to education.
The EMA could help you cover fees like bus fares, parking fees and lunches and snacks.
Steve Palmer, of Lancashire Learning and Skills Council, said learners in the county could also be eligible for childcare and travel costs.
He added: "If you want to continue learning, there could be money available. So pick up the phone and find out what there is for you."
