THE Winged Fellowship Trust, a national disability charity, wants to hear from people who can offer a week of their time to help people with physical disabilities have a holiday and give their carers a break.

Winged Fellowship Trust has purpose-built centres in Cornwall, Essex, Nottingham, Southport and Southampton, where volunteers help trained staff by providing guests with individual support and companionship during a stay with us.

The role is absolutely vital in enabling guests to have greater independence and choice as well as the opportunity to enjoy to the full the wide range of trips and entertainment that we offer.

Our centres are open all year round, but we especially need people to help this autumn and winter and want to hear from people over 18 years old.

We ask that people are reasonably fit and active, but no previous experience is necessary as full training will be given beforehand. Enthusiasm and a friendly personality is all that is needed for a successful and worthwhile week.

We are especially seeking more mature people who are perhaps not currently working or who have retired and wish to use their skills and experience in a different way.

All food, accommodation, insurance, travel costs and training is paid for, so it's free. And 98 per cent of volunteers say they find the experience rewarding and useful.

It's also a great opportunity to make new friends from all over the world and to have fun too. For a free information pack or an informal chat, please me on 0151-481-0277.
