LANCASTER people are being invited to raise their voices as the city's choral society gets ready for a new season.
Rehearsals start at Skerton Methodist Church next Monday, September 6, at 7pm and anyone who loves' singing is invited to go along.
The choir has just completed a successful summer under conductor John Perrin, tackling increasingly ambitious works.
He is now keen to recruit new singers for all sections ready to take on a wide variety of classical and modern music.
The first event of the coming season will be a Choral Glories concert on November 27, when the choir will perform Haydn's Nelson Mass, Poulenc's Gloria and two works by Verdi, Stabat Mater and Te Deum.
Now is the time to be go along to rehearsals to be part of the choir, says John, who can be contacted on 01524-701500 for further information.
People can also support the society by becoming either a Patron or a Vice President. For details, call treasurer Gordon Arkwright on 01524-421537.
