SMOOTH and sophisticated jazz music is planned to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief .
A special charity concert featuring top local performers will take place on Wednesday, September 15, at the Elms Hotel in Bare.
Headlining will be popular vocalist Sue Parish (pictured) with the Eileen Guppy Trio and the Bob Moffatt Jazz Quartet featuring cornet supremo Alan Duckles.
Both bands will play a variety of classic tunes from the Thirties, Forties and Fifties, hoping to create an evening of joyful music for a vital cause at the event to be attended by the Lancaster Mayor Cllr John Day.
All proceeds will go to Macmillan's Morecambe Bay Appeal to raise £100,000 to boost the work of Macmillan doctors locally.
The music will start at 8pm and tickets at £7 are available now from Promenade Music in Morecambe (01524-410202) or the John O'Gaunt pub on Market Street, Lancaster (01524-582070).
