MUSIC from the Beach Boys to the Bee Gees and Queen will sound across Morecambe Bay as the resort's biggest music festival of the summer comes to town.
The annual Festival of Light and Water this weekend promises fantastic live music and stun-ning firework displays to wrap it all up.
Music will start at noon on both Saturday and Sunday and continue until 10pm, finishing with the grand finale of fireworks set against the backdrop of the Lakeland hills and its all free.
The headline act for Saturday is Gidea Park, who recreate the Californian sounds of the sixties with tributes to the likes of The Beach Boys and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
They will be supported by The Bee Gees Experience, who include in their performance not only songs that the Bee Gees have performed but also ones which they have written for others.
Sunday night stars the Queen tribute band Mercury, who aim to capture the atmosphere and sheer magic of a live Queen performance and they will be backed by top local cover band Solid Silver.
Daytime bands for Saturday include The Jackdaws and Kid Serial, while Sunday starts with Gareth Arm-strong, Scout, Dime Store Rock and The Band Time Forgot .
The Festival is organised by Lanc-aster City Council and sponsored by Taylor's Funland.
