VANDALS targeted the vintage Kendal Klipper bus at the weekend smashing four windows while it was parked overnight on Friday in the United Utilities yard near Parkside Road, Kendal.
Not to be deterred, the owners of the bus have brought in a temporary double-decker to keep the service running while repairs are made to the classic Leyland Tiger bus.
A first aid kit, fire alarm and fire extinguisher were also stolen.
The Kendal Klipper is the free bus service which takes locals and tourists around Kendal town centre during August and September. Cumbria Classic Coaches, who operate the service, hope to have the original bus back in service in the next few days.
