DIY superstore Homebase is coming to Kendal and bringing 80 jobs with it, after changes to a former bonded warehouse on Beezon Road were approved.
South Lakeland District Council planners accepted the application to alter a scheme that was initially passed in May this year.
Planning officer Barry Jackson said the plans had returned to SLDC after the original scheme for a number of buildings proved controversial and Homebase decided to operate from one building.
A mini-roundabout at the junction of Beezon Road and Station Road will be built as part of the plans, which were given to the planning services manager to pass, subject to receiving all outstanding consultations.
