CLASSIC sounds from the Big Band era are on their way to Lancaster in celebration of the centenary of Glenn Miller's birth.
A special concert is being staged next month to mark the occasion - featuring a classic line-up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, a rhythm section and singers.
Courtesy of the Nick Ross Orchestra, the concert promises to faithfully recreate THE sound of the 1940s.
A selection from the repertoires of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Ted Heath and Syd Lawrence will fill the programme.
For more details of the concert at the Grand Theatre, Lancaster, on Thursday, September 23 call the box office on 01524 64695 or visit the theatre website at www.lancastergrand.co.uk
