LANCASTER-BASED Kid Serial is just one of the top acts lined up for a varied and must-but-seen gig in Morecambe.
The four-piece rock band, pictured left, are joining a host of bands from Morecambe and Lancaster including heavy metal specialists Seraphim and dance group Cameron at the Freestage event at the Dome next Friday and Saturday, August 20 and 21.
Now in its 8th year, Freestage is committed to providing a big stage experience for up and coming bands to show off their skills.
And an extra innovation this year is an acoustic stage to be held in the Waterfront Bar for anyone who wants to play simply by turning up with an instrument and registering for one of the time spots available.
Freestage is the only free indoor event of its kind in this area and will be live' from 6.30pm to midnight on Friday and 12.30pm to midnight on Saturday. Admission is free.
The provisional line-up is Friday: 7pm Louie; 7.30pm Dave Cawlen; 8pm Navajo; 9pm Potting Shed Gene; 10pm The Band Time Forgot; 11pm Seraphim.
Saturday: 1pm Jay Blackburn; 1.30pm Stevie B; 2pm The Filthy lookers; 2.40pm Sub Harmonic; 3.20pm Wait Until Tomorrow; 4pm Hertz; 5pm Dime Store Rock; 7pm Omen; 8pm Buzzwipe; 9pm The Jackdaws; 10pm Kid Serial; 11pm Cameron.
