STYLISTS at a Lancaster salon will be cutting it' for charity this weekend The team at Byrons Hair have organised a charity day in aid of the Macmillan unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Sunday.
Staff at the Church Street salon will be offering women a haircut and finish for £25 and men a haircut and finish for £17 or a 30-minute massage for £10.
Every penny of the proceeds will go direct to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
But there's much more than that to the charity bash' - for the day-long effort includes free parking for all customers with a car wash available for £5, a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, a firework display, live music from the band Inside Out' and food and wine provided by Quite Simply French restaurant.
The event is the brainchild of salon proprietor Linda Byron, whose husband Mick died from cancer a year ago.
She says she is raising funds for Macmillan in recognition of the support she and her family received during his illness.
Her daughters Rochelle and Nico have also set themselves two extra challenges in order to raise funds for Macmillan.
Rochelle is aiming to trek 35 kilometres over 15 of the Peak District's most challenging summits while Nico is set to cycle 700 kilometres across Brazil in a fund-raiser in October.
Both say any sponsorship or donations will help the charity to continue giving support to people affected by cancer.
