THE Kendal branch of Fresh Look Perfumes, known for bringing hard-to-find designer products to Kendal and Lancaster, is going bigger and better.

In order to incorporate more of the cosmetics and perfumes we locals would like to be able to buy in town, Fresh Look is moving to its new premises on Finkle Street.

The new store will include two floors of beauty - the ground floor will be dedicated to skin care, cosmetics, designer sunglasses and perfumery along with the introduction of exclusive brands such as Kanebo, Dermalogica and Agent Provocateur (a perfect marriage between scent and seduction').

Fresh Look will also be introducing the latest in designer fake-tans, Fake Bake' - currently being used by stars such as Britney Spears and voted best self tanner in The New York Times. It promises to promote a beautiful deeper, darker, longer lasting tan without turning your orange.' I tried it myself and found it really easy to apply. It's a little scary at first as it's like applying a dark chocolate foundation to your legs. You should definitely apply it at night (wearing tanning gloves), as you'll appear really dark until you shower. In the morning, rinse away the remaining product and, hey presto, a really natural deep tan. Down side? You'll have to wash your sheets regularly!
