AS COMPETITORS take a summer break from the ProPrep-sponsored Stage Rally Championship run by KLMC, the club are putting the finishing touches to the next round, the WA Developments Pendragon Stages, on August 29.
Being a round of three regional championships as well as the ProPrep series, entries are pouring in.
This year the Pendragon uses mileage in Lowther Park, which will be run as a spectator 'Super Special' stage.
After their recent success on the Jim Clark Rally, Eddie Stobart Motorsport have arranged to work with WA Developments at Warcop, which is off limits to the public, to provide the necessary infrastructure and technical assistance.
Appleby's Dougi Hall will be among the top entries along with the championship leader Chris Taylor and Ed Dentice, who are looking to cement their title hopes, although there will be stiff competition from Willie Stobart, Mark Shaw, Mike Edgar, Ian Rooke, Brett Mitten to name but a few.
Thanks to the support of local companies, scrutineering will be held just off the motorway in Penrith and Penrith Truckstop will be used as rally HQ, service area and prize presentation.
