A PROMINENT roadside pub on the A66 between Penrith and Appleby has been sold through Penrith-based PF&K Commercial.
The Bridge End Inn at Kirkby Thore is a well-known landmark on the busy cross Pennine route and the property includes a public bar, dining bar, four bedroom owner's accommodation and a large car park.
The pub has been acquired by a local pub company, MGH Enterprises Limited of Kendal. The vendors, David Mellor and Rosemary Grimshaw, are retiring from the trade.
The property and business was sold for an undisclosed sum from a guide price of £225,000 within six weeks of coming on the market.
