A PENSIONER who was trampled by cows while walking her dog is recovering in hospital.
The 82-year-old woman had been walking through a field of cows with a calf at Marsh Farm, Askham-in-Furness, on Monday afternoon when she was attacked.
The woman was taken to the Lancaster Royal Infirmary with bruising and rib injuries.
The incident has prompted police to remind people of the dangers of walking in fields where cows are with calves.
