CLASS four pupils from Old Hutton's primary school had a great time at the Tag Rugby Festival, competing against local primary schools at Kirkby Lonsdale.
Key stage two children are looking forward to a residential experience this month: the older children will enjoy a three-day city stay in York, while the younger ones are going to Hawkshead for two days of outdoor challenges.
Class one enjoyed a visit to New Hutton Church with the Rev Deborah Preston to support their RE topic on Special Places.
The children sang songs, said prayers, shared in holy communion, played the organ, and explored the church.
Two building projects are taking place at the school, the first to provide sheltered areas in the small playground so class one can work outside and the second to provide open lockers beneath coat pegs and create a safer environment for people walking around the school.
