RESCUERS pulled two women canoeists from the water after they got into trouble from the notorious Arnside Bore yesterday (Thursday).
Coastguards at Arnside were called out at around 10.50am when a member of the public dialled 999 after seeing a canoe capsize under the force of the tidal wave near the village's viaduct.
The coastguard boat was launched and the two women, believed to be from Kent, were taken to safety.
