SHARES in GlaxoSmithKline dropped sharply this week after New York's Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the company.
It alleges that GSK - which has a factory in Ulverston - said its anti-depressant drug Paxil was safe for children and teenagers while it withheld studies showing it could cause some patients to feel suicidal.
A GSK statement said the company had acted responsibly in conducting clinical studies in paediatric patients and in disseminating the results.
The drug is not made at Ulverston.
