A GROUP of scrambling enthusiasts from Penrith have enlisted the help of the Kendal Classic Club to help run The Revival Classic Scramble' on Sunday, June 13.
The event takes place at Broad Meadows Farm, Melmerby, near Penrith, just off the A686 Penrith to Alston road and will be signposted from Junction 40 of the M6.
A large contingent of local riders have entered on bikes that range from pre 1960 to pre 1977. There will also be a class for twin-shock machines that were manufactured before 1984.
Practice begins at 10.45am, with the racing proper at 12.30pm. Anyone wishing to enter or would like to help sponsor the event, should make contact with Geoff Shuttleworth on 01524-824409.
Spectators will be welcomed, with a very reasonable admission price of £3 for adults and children going free.
