RESIDENTS are being asked to help combat crime in their community.
Police are looking for volunteers to help deal with problems ranging from crime, vandalism and anti-social behaviour to litter.
New groups to be launched in June will be called Police and Communities Together (PACT).
The idea is based on a pilot held in Skelmersdale, which had a major impact on the quality of life of people.
Anyone who feels they may be able to play a part in making their community a better place is asked to call 01524-63333 for details.
