FUN-SEEKERS and boat enthusiasts are being invited to a weekend full of events as Lancaster Canal Boat Club stages its annual rally.
The event at Glasson Dock kicks off tomorrow (Friday) evening with the 8.30pm opening of the marquee for Noggin & Natter', quiz and sing along.
The rally office opens on Saturday at 10am, paving the way for a day of activities which will see the Fleetwood Royalettes marching, with the Arnold School CCF Royal Naval Section Cadets bringing up the rear.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Lancaster, Cllr John Day and Allison Hocking, will perform the grand rally opening at noon by crowning Miss LCBC and LCBC Princess.
They will then be invited to judge the Lady Lacy Trophy for traditional dress before the official cruise of invited guests.
Judging of rally entrants takes place in the afternoon before a social evening of entertainment in the marquee from 7.30pm.
Events on Sunday include boat handling at 10am before the Glasson Parish church service followed by a parade.
An afternoon of games kicks off at noon in the arena with cheerleaders, dog handling and junior land games.
More entertainment follows from 7.30pm with trophy presentations, music, bingo, raffle, a quiz, and illuminated boats and bikes.
Stands from local bodies such as the RNLI, Lancaster fire service, St John's Ambulance, Arnold School Cadets & The Fleetwood Royalettes will be manned during the event.
