A FUND of almost £1 million has been set up to help local services and groups across Cumbria and Lancashire who work with people with learning disabilities.
The Cumbria and Lancashire Strategic Health Authority has launched the learning disability development fund to resource capital projects that will make improvements to the lives of learning disabled people and their carers.
Following the success of a number of smaller schemes in the last funding round, around ten per cent of the entire amount has been set aside for local groups who would like to apply for grants of between £5,000 and £25,000.
Further details of the grant are a vailable from Jackie Moran at the health authority on 01772-647 022.
