THREE tries in the final five minutes served up a thrilling ending to rugby league's new Morecambe Bay origin' match.
A hard-fought game was turned on its head as Morecambe touched down three times in quick succession to win the game 24-15 after staring at certain defeat only minutes earlier.
A crowd of more than 400 people turned out at Lancaster City's Giant Axe home for the first match-up between the the locals in 100 years.
And they may have seen the start of a glittering career in the sport as teenager Shaun Weed turned in a match-winning performance for the resort side with a hat trick of tries.
He caused Lancaster problems all evening with ball in hand to show just why he has already been signed by Challenge Cup winners St Helens.
