TWO young members of the Lancaster and Morecambe College Trampolining Club have qualified to compete at top level.
Joel Caveliere and Sam Fox have both achieved coveted Grade Two status as bouncers' meaning they have acquired the national standard and can enter open competitions.
Both have been members of the trampoling club since it was launched at the college's sports and coaching centre in 2000.
And they were not the only successes at the club's latest competition at the George Carnell Leisure Centre in Davyhulme the best in the club's short history, says senior coach Jo Smith.
Eight local youngsters achieved grades to enable them to move up to the next rung of the competition ladder.
Grades six to three are regional competition standard, with grades two and one being British national level.
The results were - Zoe Riley 52.9 (Grade Three) 3rd; Sam Fox 52.3 (qualified to Grade Two) 2nd; Joel Caveliere 52.2 (qualified to Grade Two) 1st; Jordan Burrell 51.4 (Grade Four) 3rd; Zoe Hill 50.2 (Grade Four) 8th; Charlotte Rickards 49.4 (qualified to Grade Four) 3rd; Victoria Anderson 46.9 (Grade Four) 15th; Victoria Hutton 45.9 (Grade Five) 7th in her first competition.
Jo has a few spaces open for children aged between six and 10 at pre-club sessions on Mondays from 5pm and for children who have already competed at Monday and Wednesday 6pm sessions.
In addition, there are recreational classes for 8-16 year olds on Saturday mornings with second level instructor Zoe Riley. For more details, call the college on 01524-521411.
